Seventy years after Aang ended the Hundred Year War, the world is loud, electrified, and full of new problems Aang never had to deal with — labor strikes, mecha tanks, equalist riots, and the press. The new Avatar is a brash teenager from the Southern Water Tribe who'd rather punch a problem than meditate on it, and Republic City is about to find out what that costs. Are you the headstrong Avatar who runs at every fight, the brilliant inventor who quietly carries the team, or the wise airbending dad trying to teach patience to the impossible? Take this 24-question quiz to find out.

Question 1 of 24
About Which Legend of Korra Character Are You?
The Legend of Korra picked up Aang's world seventy years later, traded the Fire Nation war for industrial-age Republic City, and gave us a darker, messier, more politically tangled Avatar story. It pushed bending into prosthetics, electricity, and spirit-vine weaponry, and it pushed its characters into adult problems the original Airbender couldn't have touched. The fandom argument over Korra versus Aang refuses to die, which is exactly how a good sequel earns its keep.
This quiz asks which member of Team Avatar you actually are. Korra, the headstrong Avatar who would rather punch a problem than sit with it. Mako, the brooding firebender trying to do the right thing in three jobs at once. Bolin, the warm earthbender lavabender who carries the team's morale. Asami, the brilliant industrialist with the cleanest moral compass on screen. Tenzin, doing his best to raise three airbender kids and a city. Or one of the wider cast like Lin, Suyin, Varrick, Kuvira, Jinora, or Zaheer, each carrying a piece of the show's adult ambition.
Korra's cast is built around how each character handles power and responsibility differently, and the scoring tracks exactly that. Korra results go to people whose first instinct is action and whose second is reflection, hopefully. Mako lands with the over-responsible, Bolin with the warm extroverts who hide insecurity behind humor, Asami with the principled problem-solvers who quietly outsmart everyone. Tenzin rewards the patient, Lin the loyal-but-prickly, and the villains are scored with care, because Zaheer and Kuvira aren't insults, they're philosophies.
Meet the Characters
Each result in this quiz is anchored in a real character from Which Legend of Korra Character Are You? — here's a quick guide to who you might end up matched with.
Korra
The Headstrong Avatar
You don't think — you move. You run at every problem with your fists up and your heart on full volume, and the people who love you spend half their time pulling you back from the edge and the other half watching you absolutely cook. Underneath the bravado is real fear and real growth — you're learning that strength sometimes looks like sitting still, and you hate it, but you're trying.
Mako
The Brooding Firebender
You're the responsible one in every group, and it's exhausting because nobody asked you to be and you can't stop. You take everything seriously, you keep the receipts, and you'd rather be quietly correct than loudly liked. People mistake the seriousness for coldness, but you're the one who'd take a lightning bolt for any of them without thinking.
Bolin
The Sunshine Earthbender
You're pure heart in human form — the friend who hypes everyone up, cries at movies, and somehow always ends up in the funniest predicament in the room. You make everyone feel welcome by default, and your loyalty is unconditional in a way that should terrify people but mostly just makes them love you more. Also: you're stronger than you look. Both literally and emotionally.
Asami
The Brilliant Inventor
You're the most competent person in every room and the least interested in proving it. You design the thing, run the company, drive the getaway car, and make everyone tea after — and you do it with a steadiness that anchors the whole group. Beneath the polish is someone who's lost a lot, kept her composure through all of it, and decided to keep choosing love anyway.
Tenzin
The Wise Airbending Dad
You're trying to do right by your kids, your students, your culture, and a generation of monks that nobody else remembers — and you're tired. You take responsibility seriously, you take meditation seriously, and you take your beard very seriously. People underestimate the warmth under the formality until they see you with your kids, and then it all makes sense.
Lin Beifong
The Gruff Metalbender Chief
You don't perform. You don't apologize for the resting expression. You do the job, you do it correctly, and you go home. Underneath the steel is a deep loyalty to the people you've chosen and a long memory for the ones who hurt them. You'd rather get yelled at than admit you care, but everyone close to you knows.
How This Quiz Works
Every question presents you with options that explore different sides of the cast. As you answer, your match builds gradually toward the character you most resemble.
At the end, the character you most closely match becomes your result. The match percentage reflects how strongly your answers leaned toward that character versus the runners-up. A high match means your personality clearly fit one archetype; a closer call means you're a blend, which is just as common.
We don't ask for your email, sign-up, or any personal info to see your result. Take the quiz, get your character, share it if you want, and that's it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have watched the original Avatar first?
Helpful but not required. Korra is its own show with its own cast, and the quiz is built around them. Aang-era cameos aren't part of the scoring.
Is the quiz spoiler-safe across all four books?
We avoid the biggest book finales. References to Zaheer, Kuvira, and the Red Lotus are general enough that you can take the quiz mid-series without losing the surprises.
Can I get a villain result?
Yes, and it's not a punishment. Zaheer and Kuvira land with people whose conviction outpaces their compromise, which is a real personality, not a moral failing.
