About The White Lotus
Mike White's The White Lotus is HBO's anthology satire about the obscenely wealthy, the people paid to serve them, and what happens when both are trapped together at a luxury resort with too much time and too much rosé. Each season relocates to a new property — Hawaii, Sicily, Thailand — and assembles a fresh cast of guests whose carefully curated lives slowly come apart over the course of a one-week stay. By Sunday, somebody is dead. By Monday, somebody is checking out and pretending they didn't see anything.
The genius of the show is its refusal to flatten anyone into a villain. The micro-managing wife is also genuinely loving. The boorish husband is also pathetically lonely. The long-suffering employee is also quietly entitled. The free-spirited yoga instructor is also working an angle. White's writing keeps every character one decision away from redemption and one decision away from disaster, which is why the show feels less like a morality play and more like an uncomfortable mirror.
People take this quiz because everyone secretly wants to know which White Lotus guest they'd be — the one trying to fix their marriage on the beach, the one peacocking at dinner, the one quietly judging the table. The answer rarely matches the self-image.
Meet the Characters
Each result in this quiz is anchored in a real character from The White Lotus — here's a quick guide to who you might end up matched with.
Rick Hatchett
The Haunted Avenger
Brooding, vengeance-bound, and haunted by a past that won't release you. You carry grief like a stone in your chest and mistake closure for destruction. Beneath the darkness is someone who desperately wants to be saved but refuses to ask.
Chelsea
The Hopeful Believer
Kind, cosmic-minded, and devoted to the idea that love and fate will work out. You read horoscopes like scripture and choose people based on a feeling. Your open heart is both your gift and your greatest risk.
Saxon Ratliff
The Alpha Chaser
Privileged, hyper-masculine, and addicted to validation. You chase status, bodies, and wins because stillness terrifies you. Beneath the confidence is a man who has no idea who he is without the scoreboard.
Piper Ratliff
The Searching Soul
Spiritual, curious, and quietly rebellious against the life you were handed. You ask the questions nobody in your family wants answered. You crave meaning more than money — but you're still figuring out if you can live what you preach.
Belinda
The Patient Dreamer
Warm, hardworking, and full of dreams that always seem to get postponed. You give freely and get overlooked constantly. Your resilience is beautiful — but deep down, you're tired of being everyone's emotional safe harbor for free.
Victoria Ratliff
The Pampered Socialite
Southern, medicated, and serenely oblivious. You float through life on old money and anxiety pills, treating inconvenience like tragedy. Your worldview is tiny but your comfort is enormous — and you'd really rather not think about it too hard.
How This Quiz Works
Every question presents you with options that explore different sides of the cast. As you answer, your match builds gradually toward the character you most resemble.
At the end, the character you most closely match becomes your result. The match percentage reflects how strongly your answers leaned toward that character versus the runners-up. A high match means your personality clearly fit one archetype; a closer call means you're a blend, which is just as common.
We don't ask for your email, sign-up, or any personal info to see your result. Take the quiz, get your character, share it if you want, and that's it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which season's characters are included?
All three seasons (Hawaii, Sicily, Thailand) are blended into the character pool. Personality archetypes recur across seasons, so the quiz works even if you've only watched one.
Are the characters here the 'good guys' or 'bad guys'?
The show doesn't really have either, and neither does the quiz. Every result is morally complicated by design — that's the point of Mike White's writing.
Will this quiz spoil who dies?
No. Questions focus on personality preferences (how you travel, how you spend money, how you handle conflict at dinner), not plot reveals.
