Best Hospital Playlist Episodes, Ranked
All 24 episodes of Hospital Playlist scored and sorted — from the 9.2/10 high of S1E12 to the 8.5/10 of S1E1.
Our rating: 8.79/10 average across 24 episode reviews (best 9.2, lowest 8.5).
Hospital Playlist is a show with almost no bad nights and a very clear shape: it starts good, settles into a warm 8.8 hum for most of its run, and saves its real spikes for goodbyes. Across 24 episodes the gap from floor to ceiling is only 0.7, so this isn’t a ranking of hits and misses — it’s a ranking of how hard each ending lands.
The peak is the series finale, S2E12 “Yulje Says Goodbye at Sunset” (9.2), which closes every thread the show had been holding open and lets the five friends just be people for once. Right behind it, tied at 9.1, are S2E11 “Song-hwa Finally Says It” — the confession the whole run was patient about — and S1E12 “Gyeo-ul Asks Jeong-won to Stay,” the other big emotional payoff. S2E10 “Gyeo-ul Finally Lets Jeong-won In” (8.9) rounds out the top tier. Notice the pattern: the high scores are all couples landing.
The dips are early and all Season 1: S1E1 “Ik-jun Gets Handed a Last-Chance Liver Case” and S1E3 “Jun-wan Learns When Truth Needs Mercy” sit at 8.5, with S1E2 and S1E4 a hair above. That’s setup tax — introductions before the friendships click. Season 2 is the stronger run overall: higher floor, all three of the top four, and a finale that delivers.
