My Mister doesn’t have peaks and valleys so much as a slow, deliberate climb. All 16 episodes sit between 9.0 and 9.8 — a 0.8 spread that’s almost suspiciously tight — and the shape is a clean rise from a quiet start to a devastating finish. The four opening episodes (S1E1 “Dong-hoon Learns the Price of Endurance” through S1E4 “Someone Finally Gets Dong-hoon”) all sit at 9.0. That’s not a knock; it’s just the show laying track. It spends those hours establishing how much Dong-hoon swallows and how alone Ji-an is before it asks you to feel anything.
The top is all endgame. S1E16 “Ji-an Finds Peace in Daylight” tops everything at 9.8 — the payoff the whole season was building toward, Ji-an finally able to walk in the open. S1E15 “Ji-an Finally Gets a Neighborhood” follows at 9.7, with the warmth of being claimed by people who choose her. The 9.6 cluster — S1E10, S1E13, S1E14 — marks where the wiretap thread and Dong-hoon’s quiet dignity start fusing.
