Best Money Heist Episodes, Ranked
All 48 episodes of Money Heist scored and sorted — from the 9.3/10 high of S5E5 to the 8.2/10 of S3E1.
Our rating: 8.66/10 average across 48 episode reviews (best 9.3, lowest 8.2).
Money Heist runs hot and consistent — 48 episodes, almost none below an 8.2, but the show saves its real spikes for goodbyes. The two highest points are both in the final stretch: S5E5 “Tokyo Chooses Her Last Escape” (9.3) and the finale S5E10 “The Brass Comes Home and Everyone Plays Dead” (9.2). Tokyo’s exit is the cleanest gut-punch the show ever lands, and the finale pays off five seasons of stalling at the door with the gold actually gone. Right behind them sit two other death scenes — S2E9 “Berlin Holds the Door” and S4E6 “Nairobi Dreams Past the Gun”, both 9.1. The pattern is hard to miss: this show is at its sharpest when it’s losing someone.
The dip is just as clear. Season 3 is the soft spot — the S3E1 “Rio Gets Caught and Everyone Comes Home” premiere is the lowest point at 8.2, and most of the early Bank-of-Spain setup episodes cluster around 8.3 while the new plan slowly assembles. It’s competent table-setting that never quite ignites.
Season to season: S1 is the most reliable from top to bottom, S2 closes enormous, S3 sags, S4 is mostly steady with one huge spike, and S5 swings widest — a soft front half before the two best episodes of the entire run.
